I was thinking more along ther lines of money "dissapearing", someone's cousin getting the contract to build the stadium, people being robbed and raped etc.....

Why is everyone so worried about the heat??? SA is not hot everywhere all the time. Isn't soccer a winter sport? (BTW I should say football)

I think South Africa is a awesome place to host the next world Cup. The country is full of history and culture. They are still in their baby shoes for economic growth, however I think they could pull it off and with the correct sponsors they could pull it off quite well.
The country and the world would benefit from this experience. Bring more people to South Africa and let cultures blend in celebration.
They might run into some time problems, but believe me they will hire every expert they can to get the show on the road and as perfect as can be.

Nobody scores maybe. They better start tinkering with the rules to open the game up or is it just the players are unskilled now and shooting is a lost art?
Get this I heard a rumor that FIFA are not pleased with the progress on stadia so they do have a backup plan to have the USA or Germany again step in to host 2010 and South Africa pushed back to 2014. Just a rumor though.

i think maybe it will be really hot like the first guy said. depending on which country you live in and play for, you may not be used to that kind of heat and that might hinder alot of player's abilities....they might get more tired faster.
hopefully, nothing will go wrong with the matches themselves...im expecting better refs at least!

"england will arrive" bulladawudz that's really funny and i'm english you'd think i'd be saying that's rude but i don't absolutely care ... but my answer will probably be yellow cards for diving especially for cristiano ronaldo ... and would be so hard to actually give a card to some that actually dives, the refs cand let 3 offside goals happen but why can't they actually do their job even 5 year old can do better

YOU!!! It hasn't even started and you're already trying to figure out what's going to be bad about it. Soccer's the greatest sport in the world. Focus on the good things about it... it's not hard
