Starting your own online business can be great! However, there ARE a lot of scams out there so be very careful when you start out. You can check out http://www.bbb.org/alerts/article.asp?ID=436 they give you the 411 on data entry jobs, envelop stuffing and home assembly work scams.
I tried going to the http://www.pcworkathome.net site last week and it lead me to a lot of dead ends. They all seemed to be scams in the end that wanted my money.
I did, however, find an international home-based business that works for me. I looked into data entry jobs, but they all wanted you to pay money and most of them involved typing adds. Not what I had in mind. =/ But I really like the business I found. I did the free trial at first so I had time to check it out. I'm glad I did! =) NO cold calling and NO selling soap to friends and family.

After 3-6 months you can make about $500 a month and after 1 year $1,000 or more a month. And so on. So it's not a get rich quick gimmick, it does take time. But it's steady, long term and residual.

There isn't a way to earn money without investing something...money, time, new software, etc.
eBay isn't free for sellers: they have to drive to find a product, take the picture (cameras aren't free), own a computer (aren't free either), place the item on the site and pay an insertion fee, wait for it to sell (time costs, too), drive to the store for shipping supplies that they pay for, and drive to the post office and mail it.
I suggest you go to college and get a degree if you want to make any kind of "real" money.

Start a free blog on blogger.com, fill it with affiliate links, amazon ads, adsense and ebay affiliate ads. Then, promote your blog on other blogs in same or similar niche as your blog. Exchange links with those blogs. Promote them in your Blogroll directory in exchange for them doing the same for you. Post your blog every day and keep the content interesting.
You can do all the above without investing a cent of money. However, be prepared to invest your time to get things set up. Create a few blogs and link them to eachother. Load them with affiliate ads.

I have a system that turns lead into gold...you can sell it on the internet, but have to give me 1/2 the proceeds. I also have a great ocean front property in Phoenix you can sell for me. Why is it that everyone want to go into business for themselves, wants to make all kinds of money, but no one wants to invest into that business????? Have you thought of selling pipe dreams? Works for me.
