I know it came out in like 1994 but i just saw if for the first time today because everyone seems to like it, although I did like the ending and it had some great acting but it was so long and everyone seem to die, it was such a sad movie, one that i do not care to see again, no matter how sexy i find Brad Pitt. Also i know Jim Harrison wrote the novella, if you've read the book is the movie close to the story?

Yes, it's a depressing movie but there is something about it that i liked. It was a nice story line. It's the type of movie that leaves with you and you can't forget.

i know it was depressing but oh it was a good aching depressing where you felt it with the characters, not where its just sad and annoying for no reason.
its such a classic though. just a powerful story line. so much frustration and anguish happens in that movie.
cat on a hot tin roof with elizabeth taylor and paul newman is depressing. they shout and aruge the whole movie but taht was good too. made you think alot.
