Basketball, hands down...I can't stand going for 88 minutes straight without a single point. I fall asleep long before that.

Both are awsome. People who hate soccer b/c of the time: Its no wonder the rest of the world thinks us Americans are lazy! You can't sit still for 90 minutes and watch or what? Basketball is much more exciting I must say, but in soccer, the goals are such a cool thing to watch. The high speed excitement once they get near the goal is incredible. When I say basketball, I speak of college basketball. Pro basketball is even less exciting than all of a soccer match b/c its just up and down scoring. College Basketball is better than soccer. But Pro pulls it down to about even. They are both fun to play.

Soccer is better in my opinion because I've played it since i was 5 years old. I like basketball as well, but nothing can seem to compare to soccer. Most Americans think its "boring and has no point to it". If you actually sit down and pay attention to a whole game you might be able to understand why it is the world's most popular sport.

everyone has their own opinion but i like soccer better. I like playing both soccer and basketball but I prefer soccer

Pro soccer now is boring. Basketball is only slightly better but at least the Suns, Mavs and at the Worlds the Euros and Argentina play good style roundball.

ive played soccer since i was 6 so,(in my opinion) soccer is better and helps you to develop far better. soccer is a much more physical sport that lets people get away with shoving, elbowing, and foul play. if your tender, soccer isn't for you. another thing is weather. in basketball, weather doesn't effect what you play on. in soccer, you may end up playing in ankle deep mud. in soccer, you learn to think through things fast on the Field. another thing to think about is, are you better with your feet or your hands?

Depends on what you are looking for. Basketball has better athletes, soccer has more passionate fans. I love both sports.
