Airport. I've lived close to two of them. At one time I lived near the north end of Addison Airport in Texas. More recently, I lived close enough to Pittsburgh International, that I was able to watch planes touching down from my driveway.

Airport - no brainer. I grew up under the final approach to Logan Airport in Boston and can completely block out aircraft noise. It's the sound of travel, which is music to my ears.

1-most major metropolitan airports will sound seal the windows at your residence for free. LAX replaced all windows in all buildings within a certain radius for free.

2-you cant do anything about the stinky smell of a dump.

I live NEAR an airport,,(2 mile) it does not bother me!!!

You just hear some planes,,and that is it!!
