I consider a long car ride to be over two hours, but I've been on lots of two day, heck two week car trips as well. That's the range, please tell me what you think.

The best snacks are peanut M&Ms and combos (US snack that has pretzel on the outside and cheese on the inside) The best music is whatever I feel like at the time. Sometimes I could listen to HOLE all day and other times I like to hear Johnny Cash . I do agree with the person who said books on tape are a good idea. I have learned a lot on a long car ride using books on tape.

I like fruit like apples and bananas something big enough to hang on to without worrying that it will be all over the car.
Cereal bars, pretzels rods. those 3 oz size of wafer meat, cheese sticks, bagels...good thing I just had dinner.

When I had a car, I did not allow food on the inside.

As far as music, the kind that you enjoy. I would have to get out after the first block if you were playing Country and Western or Rap.

Eating and driving can be sometime dangerous so it would be better if you look for a restaurant or take out so you can enjoy your meal and relax.
And for the music well put some of what you like.good luck:)

AUDIOBOOKS!!! They make the trip go by so smoothly! As for food, I prefer Good & Plentys...one at a time...or Necco Wafers...or Jelly Bellys.

pretzles, cheese bites, snack crackers, things like that. for music, i would make sure i put upbeat music of your choice, only because if you do slow songs you can fall aslleep.

Well, I would stay away from Prunes!

Too much to drink is not good, either!
