I know one thing that is worked for me is to treat them as professionals. Make them feel that they are important and SHOW them they are. Have one on one convos with each one of them to let them know how important they are. Respect them and they will respect you. Of course there is time for play but while at work, they should be professional at all times, expecially around customers and sr officers.

Leading by example, make it clear what is acceptable and what is not. Set goals and agenda's and follow up to see that they are accomplished. Let others know what your expectations are and accept nothing less. Understand each persons capability and ability. Just a few

I need more information. What are they doing wrong? You could put up a memo, saying the behavior isn't appropriate for the job, and start threatening jobs, if you're in the position to do so. If you aren't, then you need to take it up with who can. If the boss doesn't care, then you're out of luck.
