Snakes, thought by some to be fearsome creatures, have long stirred the imagination, evoking hate, terror, awe, and a large measure of misunderstanding. They do not simply move about like normal animals, they slither. Snakes have been known to symbolize evil, power, or even death. Snakes are the number one villain in myth and legend dating back from bible times onward. If people could cast aside their slighted view of snakes as “slimy” creatures and take a closer look, they could view snakes as impressive creatures and admire their beauty.
