because i think i saw lighting hit the light pole very close to the house but when cpl came out and look they didnt do nothing but i heard the sizzing sound and the power went out and i saw a very bright light

the lightning will be white when it hits its target it will be white with yellow and some orange in it

It makes the color of the lighting. For example, a peach-colored light will make the light pole look peachy-colored. Sometimes it will make weird color combinations, especially when deep yellow low-pressure sodium lighting is used.

Are you supposing the lighting comes from the light on the light pole or from somewhere else?

Depends upon the material of the light pole.... different materials vaporize and give off different bands of light... that is now we can tell what materials make up different stars... or different gas clouds... spectral analysis.
