I go to a racist school. I mean RACIST. I don't hang out with white people because they're racist. I hang with mostly blacks & latinos. What i don't about the blacks I hang out with is they make fun of me being african just as bad as the white people make fun of them. and then, when the racial stuff goes down they don't make fun of me anymore, I'm no longer an african. I'm black & i'm equal with them & I'M AUTOMATICALLY SUPPOSED TO BACK THEM UP. they do that to a lot of the africans at my school.

Your family came to America to get ahead in life, some risk death to get an education here. A quote from an African/F, "Where do these American blacks get off thinking that they are owed a living for their greatXXXXX grandparents being slaves. In my country if you did not work your children went hungry."
American Blacks hate us because we come from smarter stock, we work to get educated, they steal and thug.
These children are made to stay in school until 16, by then they have seen that if they leave they are in the street, they stay and disrupt the class. In other country's at 8 and 10 the children are in factory's and fields working from daylight till dark. In Morocco children begging can make more money in one day than the parents make in a week. The stupid American black children think that they can make money selling dope and being an athletic star or rapper than being educated. Proud to be an African.

What you mean you're no longer an african? If you are born an african..you're an african..don't worry about them joking because sooner or later they will stop. When I was in elementary school, black kids use to always joke on my african name. i just let them have their laugh or whatever. Sometime I would stick up for myself and tell them that they're wrong and shouldn't treat their own kind like that. now for the racist people, talk to the administrative people at your school. if they don't do anything, talk to the board of education. If they don't do anything as well, maybe you need to take it to court. make sure you let your parents know as well because they can talk to school officials as well.

Blacks and Africans don't usually get along because the blacks tend to think that Africans think they are better than black americans. If the situation were reversed then the black person would be made fun of. The whole thing is insane and I say you are black, who cares if you are african....we come from the same people.

young people often make fun of the people that are a little different than the majority because some young people find it makes them feel better about themselves, people like that are just selfish and are using you for their ego, they don't deserve your friendship, someday they might grow up or they may never but for now you don't need them and don't be so quick to categorize people as racist most people are good people and just want to get along with you don't let the bad ones overshadow.

People are going to be people, no matter what race or color they are. Some are ignorant to the fact that others are different from them, and they dont respect others as they should until they are all put into the same situation. All I can say is " CHOOSE your FRIENDS wisely. A TRUE FRIEND will be with you thru everything, even when you are wrong and they know you are wrong, they will still be by your side.

Ugghh! Sounds like a horrible situation. I can't honestly say I can relate to that but I can say high school sucks and it only lasts a few years. One day it will end a you can go lead a happy life away from such hatred. Well at least you will have more control over your surroundings. Big hug from Canada. Welcome to North America.
