Why was Vietnam in Miss Universe 2005 but not 2006? I was just wondering why. was Vietnam kicked off or something? cuz i wanna c Vietnam up there and represent my country

wat r u talking about, blueocean???? cuz PLENTY of other countries got 2 go on there and Vietnam never gets to go on. so is it wrong to root 4 my country?? i dont think so! so just stop making rude comments!

I have judged dozens of beauty contests, and there's a lot of behind-the-scenes things that happen which could be the root of the problem.
Just because you're Miss Vietnam doesn't automatically give you a plane ticket to the Miss Universe pageant. The pageant is a for-profit commercial operation that makes their own rules and isn't regulated by anyone regarding the choice of participating contestants. Fair or not, it is up to their organization to accept or deny contestants.
There is usually 80-85 contestants out of 170+ countries around the world that could participate in Miss World or Miss Universe. That in mind, there are many countries other than Vietnam that aren't represented in those pageants. So don't feel to bad about it. There's always next year..

probably because they don't show you all of the canidates it is narrowed down even before the 86 you see on tv
