You can buy a disc cleaning system. I think I have one called Disc Doctor. . . . They are sold at places like Best Buy, or Target for about $25.00. You spray on some cleaner, and then twist the disc through the machine and it buffs off scratches and damage. It's made BIG differences in some of my CDs, although I guess it will depend on how badly your disc is damaged.

The only thing I know to do is to use some plain white toothpaste, not any enhanced kind, rub it on and then polish it away with a soft cloth. I don't think this solution lasts forever. What a bummer. Call the game company and see if they have better suggestions. Sometimes they can be rather generous, and if you send in the ruined disc they might send a replacement for free or a small fee.

Get a disc dr. Most electronics boutiques sell them, as do walmart. It will resurface the disc for you. If the product doesn't actually resurface the disc (most of the cheaper ones don't) it won't do anything to fix it. Memorex, Maxell, and a few other companies make products, but none of them really work. From my experience, the Disc Dr. is the only one to bring any scratched disc back from the dead.

Now if we could just get the gov't to allow us to back up what we pay money for, this wouldn't be a problem...

Get this Disc Cleaner Thingy.
You put your discs on there and it buffs out scuffs.
I forgot what the official name for it was.

OR

Go to this store called GameCrazy
(There's one near my house)
If you don't feel like buying that machine, they'll clean it for you
Only if your a member.

OR

Get Windex and a paper towel.
Spray one whole spritz, maybe two.
Wipe in CIRCULAR MOTIONS.

I break games a lot, so I do all of these methods frequently :)

You could get it "re-surfaced" if it's not too deep of a scratch. Disc Drs are cheap but sometimes they don't work very well, so a professional at a local video store might be your best. bet. Good luck.
