This really depends on the operating system in use. Most Unix/Linux distributions will run for months without issues. Windows machines should be rebooted occasionally depending on the operating system, 95 boot every 4 hours, win 98 at least daily, Win 2000 every 3 days or so, winxp at least once a week. Windows ME should be removed and the disks shredded to keep any others from falling down the well.

My last one was on for over 2 years.....this one has only been on for 3 months so far.

Its best to set it up to "go to sleep" and restart it from time to time I never turn mine off and it runs fine
