I think so. The Yankees are really interested. Makes sense since they do need pitching and they do have the money!!!

I don't think so, The A's have an excellent shot to make the playoffs and Billy Beane has allowed other players (Giambi, Tejada) walk away from the team. He doesn't do deals during the season, preferring to trade his guys (Hudson, Mulder) in the off season. Look for Zito to end the year in an A's Uniform

No - Billy Beane has too much sense to trade him right now while the Athletics are still in the playoff picture. And, they'd probably rather have a draft choice next year than maybe renting someone for the rest of the year since a lot of teams such as the Yankees don't have much left in the farm system that anyone would want.

No. They are still in the playoff race. The AL West is the tightest division in the American League. Zito is the best one in the rotation. When Harden comes back he may be rusty, Haren is 6-9, Blanton relies on his offense to win, (Windsor called up the 17th) can't carry them, and Loaiza has an ERA over 6.00. The offense can't carry this team. Zito might.

Not this year. A's are buyers, not sellers because they are in the playoff hunt.

Zito is a free agent at the end of this year and will demand big money. The Yankees will likely sign him during the offseason.

They should since he's boltin' at the end of the season, but they have a strange history of not trading the people that would get them decent talent in return. If he leaves as a free agent, they'll get a first round pick in the draft next season, but there's never a guarantee that a drafted player will ever amount to anything... This policy will eventually bite the A's, and I can't wait for that day to come!

Doubtful. The A's tend to hang onto guys in hopes they can go on a playoff run. I hope they do as we need Zito. Live in the now!

I think they will keep him for the playoff run unless the Mets give up MIlledge.
