iphoto used to be great but now its CRAP, I don't even want to use it to store my photos but I need to use it to upload my pictures from my camera. Normally I just plug in my camera, turn it on, and the pictures load effortlessly into the program, but now it wont work. It freezes up and then tells me that none of the pictures are the right "type". I don't want to solve my iphoto problem, I just want to upload my pictures. Is there any way I can get them on my computer without going through iphoto? Thanks.

Usually cameras come with the software needed to upload photos. You can try going to the website of your camera manufacturer.

Maybe you just need to reinstall the iphoto software.

Here is a site that may have something to help you out. http://www.iphotobuddy.com/
