I'm pretty sure he'll go to an American League team but at this point, who knows. Last night I heard that maybe the Angels might have a shot at getting him. Whoever gets him is going to get baggage with that crappy attitude.

No. They do not need his bat or glove. They are pretty well set at all positions except maybe for a good pitcher or two. He would come with a high price tag, and the Red Sox have a lot of good young talent in their farm system, especially pitchers. So, I think they will pass on Soriano.

Go Sox!!

I hope not!!

The Red Sox have a good defense (not exactly Soriano's trump card), and enough offense.

I'd rather see them hold on to the prospects that are coming through the system - that is their future into the next decade!

I agree that they don't need him with Willy Mo healthy again as the 4th outfielder they're set there (pending injuries). Plus, Soriano doesn't fit the on base percentage mold that the Sox are trying to encourage, they'd rather have more players who work the count and walk more (like Youkilis) than a free swinger like Soriano.

I'd think they'd be higher on Abreu if they're looking for an outfielder for the same reasons as ^^.

It's said that he's almost locked up in Chicago,,,, but Trot Nixon isn't expected to re-sign with the Sox next year so he could be an option. But then again,,,, the Red Sox are after a pitcher and they were reported to have been after Livan Hernandez.

Sure, if the Nationals will give him to them. But are the Red Soxs willing to pay the Nat's price?

Red Sox will not give up their prospects.

Nah. Where would they put him? Left field is taken my some dude named Ramirez, and 2nd base is taken by Loretta, who SHOULD NOT have started in the All-Star game, or even been on the roster. But even if they traded Loretta I don't think they would get him.
