Ok, proactiv and a dermatologist are good ideas.....but who has the time or money?!
Get a clean wash cloth and some sort of face wash. Turn the water on super duper hot...seriously to wear you can hardly stand it. Get your face wet with the hot water how ever it is easiest for you, it opens up the pores so the face wash can get in and do it's job! Scrub in circular motions with the cloth. When your done be sure to rinse with COLD water, it closes the pores so the germs are locked out.
Good luck, I hope I was of some help.

I use the orange Neutrogena for oily skin. It won't clear your face overnight, but your face will clear up within about two weeks. Use it once a day. Also it is very important to keep your hands off of your face at all times. I kept breaking out on my chin and couldn't get rid of it until I realized that when I slept sometimes my hand was up there on the pillow under my chin. Now I keep my hands away from my face as much as possible unless I am washing it or putting on makeup and it is clear.

Proactiv is the best topical (non-oral) solution for acne.
Accutane will clear you up but apparently it has some weird side effects. You will be left with a little acne however.
A number of drugs that are for infections.
Birth control - the kind is Diane-35. Takes 3 months to notice a difference and 6 to clear you up completely, but apparently it works. I just started taking it!

I know how you feel, breakouts are so stressful and annoying. Something that may help you, but takes some time is Proactiv. Its a great product! Its a little on the spendy side but I think its worth it. Also you can try using Olay Daily Facials Deep Cleansing Mask- for something quick! Hope I helped!

I'm going through the same thing and I usually never break out. For me it's cause of the heat and the extra oils my skin is producing. Try a cleanser for oily skin, Noxema is cheap and just great. I'm switching over and just need to remember that in the summer I need a different cleanser.

Proactive is a miracle! It's not bad in price right now either. It's 20.00 for a month's worth. Just look it up on the Internet, and make an order. Once you use it for a while, you may not need it any more. That's how it was for anyway. Good luck...

Exfoliate, Exfoliate, exfoliate, use a 3-step program, with a scrub. And drink tons of water.
ie. Proactive is good, Clinique is really good (their 3 step with a scrub is excellent) and you will see a diff, in 2 weeks. Change your pillow case alot, every other night is the best. One night on each side, I don't do it always but in the summer is good. Don't worry, we always think it's worse than it is, other people prob don't notice it really, take care and good luck.

Toothpaste may be able to help you. Try it and you will see the difference. Apply before bed and wash it off in the morning. Good luck!
