doesn't hurt but a pinch for a second. I have removed my own (i dont advise, risk for potential infection) Some insurances will cover, some wont. Alot of times it depends if you are having them removed for cosmetic reasons, or because of irritation. Cost out of pocket could be 100.00 per skin tag. They do not all need a biopsy. You can avoid biopsy cost by asking them not to send it to pathology. If they are insitant on biopsy, then there is usually a reason and they way they code it should be covered under medical nessesity. check with your md, he may offer a discount. Alot of family practitionars will do it in the office.

The removing does not hurt. When I got a bill for the biopsy, it hurt. Let's think about this. These things can stay on me and the insurance company is fine with it,

I foot the bill for removal and I have to pay for a biopsy.

You use a doctor for this? I just shaved mine off ... it burns, just like it does when you nick yourself, but it costs nothing and eradicates that problem. :)
