I had one. NO YOU DON'T HAVE TO. just pull the 2 knobs off { vol./ tuner} Then you will see a flat nut behind each of the knobs you just took off,take needle nose pliers remove the nuts,pull the ant.wire out of back of radio,unplug the other power and speaker wires.Then you will see a back support bracket take nut off,then pull radio out from under the dashboard.It's real easy to do!

remove the knobs take the nuts from the shafts lay on your back look under the dash remove the bolts holding the radio on the back of the dash and undo the ant cable you may have to take the glove box out to get to the ant cable

no. underneath there should be a bracket that holds this in, in addition to the nuts behind the knobs.
