Hmmm...it would really depend on how mature she is at that age. Also, what is the reason for her being out on a school night? I mean, I was young once too...which is a good thing...and a bad thing since I remember what I did when I was that young!
I would say, hmmm....about 10:30 or 11:00? But, my daughter is still a few years away so it's hard to say for sure without knowing maturity level and what exactly the 16-year-old would be doing out on a school night.

Depends if its a thing she is doing once in a while for something special or if its a time you want her home everyday. Most cities have curfews for kids to be out and about unless they are 18 or with a adult. So I would let her be out till at least 10 maybe 11 if it was not a all the time thing and between 9 and 9:30 the rest of the time if she did all her work chores and wasn't out getting in trouble.

I would not allow my 16 year old daughter to be out on a school night period.

On a school night, I probably would not let her stay out past 9:30 considering where I live there are curfew laws. Anyone under the age of 19, during the week cannot be caught out past 10pm, and on the weekends, it's 11:30pm. I never went out during the week, i always did things with my friends on the weekends.

i would say 8PM, but i'm only 20 and my son is just 2 years old...i can remember what it is like to be 16 though, and staying out late on a school night definitely took a toll on my schoolwork. you want to make sure she is home in time to finish her homework, shower, and get ready for bed. definitely know where she is going and don't ever be lenient! 16 year olds are still children, and children don't need to be out running around at that age--don't worry, she will have plenty of time to socialize while she is in college or living on her own. 16 is such a tender age. she needs to be doing more creative things besides hanging out with friends. :-)
