Deal or no Deal?

Question

If you were on the show, and you had 2 cases left, including your case, there was a penney up there and 1 million dollars up there, and the bank offer was 500.000, DEAL OR NO DEAL!

im gonna answer id take the 500 grand but in reality i think almost everybody would go for it, beacuse your adrenilines rushing and you really want the million and you probably feel invincibile, so in reality, id probably say no deal, but really good question.(the only real way to know would be to test all of us with an actual million dollars....)

From a strict economic standpoint, I guess one wouldn't...since the expected value of that choice would be (1,000,000+.01)/2 which is greater than $500K. However, that doesn't consider one's aversion to risk. If one were risk averse, it would be foreseeable for him to choose the bank offer even if the cases contained say $250K and $1M. Personally, I'd take the bank offer. But I'm risk averse.

I would say no deal, because then I would hate myself for the rest of my life if I got the penny, and if I would get a million, I would just get over it, because I would have 500 grand!!!!!!!!

Does NBC pay for your plane ticket and hotel and all that good stuff? If they don't, I'd be losing a lot of money if it came up a penny. Deal.

I'm still making a penny but would kick myself FOREVER if I didn't try for the million...so I say...NO DEAL! and cross my fingers until they turn blue...

Deal! Can you imagine how your life would change with $500,000? The change wouldn't be that much different from if you won $1,000,000. But I doubt much would change if you won the penny.
