It's television. Plain and simple. The problems seem staged, the deadlines fabricated. It's pretty much a joke as far as I'm concerned.

As for their bikes... The show bikes are interesting, though in my opinion they are pretty much just component bikes with different trinkets, do dads and farkels hung on them. The production bikes aren't as good (IMHO) as any of the other 'production' customs. Attention to detail is lacking as is originality. Again, most of the bikes pieces are component with very little in house items being used.

does it really matter, they buuild some of the best bikes, around, especially like the old chopper they build.

On TV everything is staged, rehearsed, cut, done several times... nothing happens by accident.

they might be doing some staging, but not all the time. i even think sometimes they forget that the camera is there
