I've lived in the city and the country in many states in the US and I have lived in other countries also. Hands down, the country is the best for me. When I lived in the city there would be drive by shootings, and I couldn't even let my children play in their own yard without me being right there, or someone would do something to them. Out here in the country I don't hear my neighbors, is't peaceful and my own little place away from the rush rush rush of life.

I lived 7 miles out of city about a mile on the top of a airborne dirt and dirt highway, my nearest neighbor replaced into a million/2 mile away and we had 3 acres and it replaced into frequently surrounded by deep ravines. It replaced into secluded and that i loved it. yet even as the divorce got here it replaced into no position for me and a couple of little little ones so I moved into city which purely had a inhabitants of 20,000 even as the scholars were in college, different smart it replaced into purely 10,000. I loved it there. I moved to a city of about 80,000 to get a good pastime an it looked like a small eye-catching community with staggering yards and far of parks and the lake replaced into preserved for the commonly used public the total length of the city. that is about 40 5 minutes. south of Milwaukee and 40 5 minutes north of Chicago...proper on the time. Now it has grown a lot that all and sundry i favor to do is flow to the county. yet it is not any longer conceivable now. i love the connivance now yet i ought to extremely be a us of a bumpkin! lol!

The city, and here are my reasons why:
1. More to do - the arts, professional and minor league sports teams less than 30 minutes away.
2. More health care facilities in case you need them.
3. More - and better - job opportunities
4. Even though you live in a neighborhood in the city, you are more likely to be left alone than you are in the country.

I live in the country but only an hour from San Francisco, so when I feel like a little city living I can easily go there.

i would love to live on a ranch with animals and horses the outdoors fresh air. sitting on a porch at night looking out towards the stairs listening to nothing but animals and insect noises. :~)

I like both but not too big a city, the traffic makes it a pain. Like the beach a lot too, but here comes a hurricane and messes things up, I like your hat..
