I'm glad you wrote this.I am probably the guy that wrote about the United ***** college fund. Why is that o.k.?It is politically incorect to have a caucation american colege fund. Why?Is one race better than the other?Do black people need more help going to college?no ...because that would be stereo typing. I came from a broken home where the only choice for me , was to work during my 10 grade yr so I could buy clothes to wear. And finish school on my own.I tryed to get grants and student loans. But because I didn't make enough money and because I was not black. That sucks, why couldn't I have the same oppertunities? In this country black people have been given so many opertunities that it is very difficult as a white man to find a job.Companies have to hire so many black people, even if the white guy is more qualified.I'm not saying this is your fault. But I am sick and damn tired of hearing about how black people were slaves, so were the irish,jews,mexicans.etc. But you were not!And IT WAS NOT MY FAULT!!!!STOP BLAMMING ME.I laughed out loud when I seen a black guy on a talk show saying all the white people should have to pay for first class tickets back to Africa. We were also supposed to pay for a home and everything.Ha Ha HA.He couln't name the tribe he came from. And he also didn't know that the higher black tribes captured and sold the other lessor tribes. Most black people are blamming the wrong race for slavery.
I'm glad you stuck up for the one white kid. That shows your a good person. It's not easy being the first one to go against the grain.

Hate kills. That isn't the right approach to ever apprehend a situation nor is feeling pity on your own self or resorting to the 'race' factor, however I do believe there are serious issues where people do blame alot of their own demise, burdens, and anything negative if people do not get the result they want on a 'racial' factor. We are all guilty of that vice but it is not the right approach ever. I wish there were more people who were open-minded, saw many assets to a culture or a race and not persecute a whole mass of individuals based on some personal unsatisfaction or any one particular individual. It's easy to stereo type and blame others or hate another or pick on someone because the language, style, culture, tradition, and even accent in some cases are different but in the end we all bleed the same color, poop the same, and have the same compassion and love demonstrating we do have heart. I can't say this world will ever be up to par to anyone's expectations in America or overseas bc this is an issue that is not faced by just African Americans but the thousands of other racial groups world-wide who commit this against each other. Hatred is color-blind just as love is. Sad huh?
Well best thing to do is live your life accordingly and not worry yourself about how other people conduct themselves. Just do what makes you smile and what provides "your" world with the least amount of drama and the most amount of happiness.
Take care!
P.S. I also agree with impossible_dream above.

I think the reason why younger people have a problem with black people is because of the benefits given by the government (its the government not the person)
Here in Australia, the aboriginals get every benefit you can think off, free education, go to the front of the list for public housing, free university courses the list goes on.. I know personally I cant stand that they get that, espicially considering some are whiter then me.. Why do they get benefits based on race but I dont? That is why our generation still has a problem with blacks etc.. BUT I also believe that its the government that is segregating the races by having these benefits, really they are asking for trouble as they are only giving a certain race this benefit.
Thats my opinion on why the younger generation has a problem still.. The older generation they are just stuck in there ways!

I would like to touch on the way people talk. When anyone who uses incorrect english; example, wuz up, or git r dun, it comes across to the general public as ignorance. If you want to break stereotypes you need to become an ambassador for your race, or your general social group. I can understand that when a person learns english as a second language they will have a hard time with it, but when someone is born here in the US you are expected to know how to speak it correctly and efficeintly. If this has not happened then you must, either blame the the way they learned the language (ie the teacher did not understand how to speak correctly or they were overly tolerant with obvious mistakes), this happens in the hood and in a trailer park.

Your question is "Why do people hate?"
In response: I dislike the individual, not a particular race, and more to the point of your question, Hate is something that is taught NOT just picked up out of the blue.
It is something that as more and more generations go by past school integration and the equal rights acts of the '60s, we will see less and less of on a face to face level.

>> why do some people have so much animosity against black people?
a) One in three young black men has been in trouble with the law.
b) Propaganda from hate groups.
>> why do some black people have animosity against white people?
a) Their fathers are saying "whitey's keeping us down," which they heard from their fathers. Unfortunately it was true back then, hence civil rights marches and such.
b) Propaganda from hate groups.

good question, too bad there are so many ignorant people full of hatred. They just want to blame those different than themselves for what they are lacking. Haven't you seen all these idiots attack the "illegals"? Some how only Mexicans are the illegals, that just shows how ignorant they are. Sorry, but there will be hate as long as there are people with little minds and no heart.

I have found that people whom are insecure with themselves tend to nit-pick about things in their surroundings.
I am quite dissapointed to say my school isn't very diverse, so most people in my school are either racists or want to be like the rappers on TV.
You are not alone in your fight against racism, I have no anger or hate towards any other race either.
Ignore those of a lower IQ who can't accept that people are different and unique.

Are there still people out there who are ignorant enough to hate black people?? I thought those people were are ignorant inbred NASCAR freaks and alcoholic skin heads.
Don't listen to people like that and if they mess with your livlihood or your family sue the crap our of them. Take their prescious trailer homes from them and all their cars on blocks. Get them fired from Wal Mart, too.
As for racism from the other end. Well, I tolerate it to a point. Because I know there are alot of minorities in general. not just black people. who've had bad experience with white trash racist morons.
The problem is the stereotyping and segregation still exists in this country. If you grow up not having a diverse environment, then you won't know how to react to people who appear different from yourself. You will have to rely on stereotypes and first impressions.
Its our duty to teach our children diversity in race, sex, creed, religion, marital status, sexual orientation, disability, and social status. If we don't they will be ignorant and we only have ourselves to blame.
Peace.

I was just like you when I was your age. Racism is a learned behavior and in time, sadly, you will begin to discriminate and favor your race. To favor your own race is okay, it's when we hate other races that is the problem. Many confuse the two. Hopefully, you will be a lighthouse.
