You make it sound as if it was stray bomb. In fact the UN were deliberately attacked to show Israeli hate for them and to discourage their further deployment. All the parts of the gig saw fit very well.
It is clear that Israel's aim is to destroy Lebanon as a country and kill as many people as they can get away with. It is an act of hate. Hezbollah is the pretext, not the cause.

Your Friendly little sizzo here,
,,, If you base your opinions on Kofi Annan comments...where have you been...
need to switch your channel from CNN news.
//\kl ...can we say food scandal for billions of dollars,,,oh boy is Annan a real humanitarian diplomat...how many starved to death while he and his son lived as a billionaire?
...Israel, by the way, did not start this....
..Excuse me, didn't someone dig a tunnel from Gaza and capture soldier on Israel soil?....
...word of advise...don't dig under my fence.
...Israel has no option but to response with "deadly force". They are surrounded by Iran and Syria who are both supplying arms to these crazys...
...picture this...home invasion at your house by a robber...
...2 come over th back fence, two come in the front door, and you find out the police (General Kofi Annan ) is backing them. ..and your neighbours Iran and Syria is supplying them with guns and ammunition against you...What course of action would you take?
... give up some of your money and belongs to satisfy the robbers ( i.e. Laban in 2000, Gaza 2006)....and would if that was not enough?
........I agree with deadly force..and unfortunately war is not pretty!!!

Why were the UN Observers simply observing Hezbollah shooting missiles into Israel? Did it not occur to them that the Israeli might shoot back?
If all the UN Observers can do is observe maybe it is time to observe them leaving instead of acting as a moral shield for immoral terrorists.
If you must blame someone, blame Hezbollah and the foolish UN Observers who do not have the good sense to come in out of the rain of bullets, bombs, and missiles.

they've gone too far from the start! Bombing innocent people who they claim to be terrorists. To all you Zealots out there, Lebanon is 30% Christian. Israel is tageting their own allies! Lebanon is a moderate Islamic democracy. They don't support terror. By killing innocent people, Israel is just giving hezbollah more supporters. Btw im fully unbiased so don't call me an anti-jew/anti-muslim/anti-christian. Im a hindu and I live in the U.S.A. Now, Israel bombs the ppl who try to help? Ridiculous!

No, not yet, in war **** happens, if you go there to observe, you stand the chance of observing a missle hitting you. And if Israel was targeting the innocent, the casualty count would be a lot higher.

Israel wont go to far until they go as far as there muslim neighbors have in the past 60 some years, and it will take alot more than attacking Lebanon and killing a U.N person to do that.

This is getting really dumb, war is war - fight it - win it, This idea that there is more fighting in the media & in politicians offices than on the battle field is a cause of these extended (50 year) CONFLICTS that kill millions instead of a few hundred thousand over a month or two

Tell me just why would Israel kill the UN observers? What good would it do Israel?
Who would benefit by the deaths of the observers?
In short it would make Israel look bad so who wanted them killed?
Hezbollah.
