I'm not sure. I think there are three factors, that will decide,
if he starts or not.
1) How well is Dominic Rhodes playing.
2) How well he learns the Colts Offense
3) How well he can adjust to the speed of the Pro game.
I hope he does well & I also hope the Colts win the Super Bowl.

I have a feeling that the Colts want to use a two-back system for at least this year, if not permanently. I read a quote from Dungy soon after the draft that Dungy, Polian, and crew liked the way the Broncos, Steelers and other teams do so well running the ball, but don't really have a "feature back".
They may continue to recruit and develop players who have more unique skill sets that can be used more in certain matchups/situations.
So, to answer your question, I think once they see him in some games and figure out how his skills match up in the NFL, he could start a game as early as week 5, depending on the match-up (which is Tennessee in W5. The Titans had a weak run defense last year, so it is a good possiblity.)

Not sure, he is a talanted back but I think the Rhodes has a few more weeks to prove him self than that. Addai is a good blocker so that will put him in the game before week 5 but as far as getting the bulk of the carries wait till the end of the season.

surely pass with Addai. Mcgahee is a extra ideal commence only for the very undeniable actuality that his team is totally intact. Caddy is pretty a lot finished this twelve months because of the very undeniable actuality that each and every man or woman is going to crowd the line and stuff him like a canoli. solid success.

I believe he will be the starter from day one as he was drafted to replace Edgerrin. He will have to learn to run with more power as his style is upright now. He will at least be as good a blocker for Manning as Edgerrin was and he'll have to develop his pass catching abilities in that passing offense. I see nothing but good things ahead for this rookie and he could be a sleeper pick with his role in that Colt offense.
James Mungro a fifth year player is his competition? NOT!
I couldn't believe how many rookies the Colts drafted at the WR position five.

Definitly not! He will never start. I am suprised that he was able to play for a division 1 team. He would have been second string here at my local NAIA div. 2 school. He Sucks.

I think he will start in week 1, he's a better running back than people think.
