i have an ipod nano with 4 gb and i dont know how to download pics?

They go to a folder, go on iTunes, the second column on top, preferances, pictures, and put your pics in that folder.

If you don't have iTunes then you can't put anything on your iPod, so I suggest you get it, as its free on the apple web site.
