Have more community functions (weekly talks; weekly activities in the park or on the block); get to know your neighbors, and their family members; organize a weekly "block cleaning (sweep in front of your house and the one to the left and right of you),start a neighborhood block watch. Create positive after schools activities for the kids 5-15 yrs old. Help the single mothers/ fathers with child care. Plant (window) gardens (tomatoes/ or herbs). Have family fun nights in the block. Call the police when you think crimes are happening. Check on the elderly in the summer. Deliver sandwiches. Do whatever you feel will positively impact the D... just don't set around and do nothing. Fire the Mayor
Hire a really good chief of police
Bring jobs back to the city.
Enforce Quality of Life Laws.

The whole problem is the BS child abuse laws that are now being enforced. They hold the parents captive from whipping today's children & some of them out there probably do deserve it????

Legalize gun ownership. That way regular folks can fight back. Most criminals will not rob a house if they know a gun owner lives there and Darwin takes care of the ones that do.

you should do like how we do in our community.we have crime watch meetings every so often. during the meetings we have a police to give us tips on what to do to help solve the problems going on.
