I had a problem with braxton hicks with my first pregnancy, I had them all the time. I even ended up in the labor and delivery ward a couple of times just cause they were quite bad. Things to help you tell if they are real or not:

-Are they timeable?? For the most part can you predict when you will get one? If they are timeable, follow the next question as sometimes even braxton hicks can be regular.
-If you drink 2-3 (12 oz.) glasses of water and then lay down on your left side, do they go away?/ If they do, they are braxton.
-If they are the "real deal" make sure you wait until you are uncomfortable before you go into the hospital otherwise you could end up being sent home. Try walking, sitting on an exercise ball, breathing and meditation to ease the discomfort of labor.

Congratulations and good luck on the delivery!!

That means your body is practicing for the real event.
Here's what the doctor and the midwife told me during my two pregnancies.
Drink a cool glass of water and see if that settles the contractions down.

If the contractions get closer together instead of going further apart, they may be the real thing.

Walk around because it helps the contractions come together more quickly.

Good luck, the good news is that you won't be pregnant forever!!

not really. braxton-hicks are contractions, real contractions already. They are just less painful and not regular as your labour contractions will be. If the contractions you feel become more intense or regular (every 10 minutes etc.) then you are in labour.

At nine months, they might not be just braxton hicks, it could be the beginning of labor. Have you had any other signs of going into labor?

yes Youre 9 months pregnant. Youre going to be having real contractions soon anyways.

Try timing them, and if they get closer together, you know its real labor.

If they get more painful, thats another sign that its labor.

YES, the change among truly contractions and BH is that BH are train and no longer doing whatever to transport matters alongside. Real contractions are running to skinny and melt the cervix or efface and likewise open it up or dilate. Your moment time round you'll be able to have extra painful BH and no longer understand if it is truly hard work or no longer hhehe a laugh occasions. For me I used to be having what looked like the truly factor two-five min aside for weeks however they were not doing whatever. I used to be slightly at 1cm while my due date hit. They grew to become truly and painful while I went in for my induction they usually placed a tablet in to melt my cervix. At that factor my frame kicked in and I went to a three in a couple of hours! It used to be very painful like dangerous interval cramps. From then on I went to my moment level of work and that lasted hours. Finally at approximately 4pm I had my epidural and I used to be at 6cm even as my water broke lol (yeah correct there at the desk). Then had a excellent lengthy nap the primary sleep in days and woke to being equipped to push, Pushed for forty five mins and he or she used to be born! Some of my peers even though have long gone from BH to complete on hard work with intercourse or jogging round. For me, the intercourse simplest made the BH worse lol. It quite is diff for each and every one and each and every being pregnant for that topic. Right now my contractions began getting painful at 3pm on monday. I went in they usually stated Im the identical as I used to be on thursday however my cervix may be very gentle so that is well. It way I absolutely won't have got to be brought on this time and likewise that those contractions even as no longer hard work are doing some thing. I actually have a discomfort within the mid facet of my again as good as lessen. Yes, that may be a signal of work. I recommend jogging round and notice what occurs. If not anything else it'll aid your frame to organize and maintain your brain on different matters (hah probably). At 39 weeks I believe your discomfort and understand you have to be beautiful uncomfortable. Hang in there, it would possibly not be lengthy;) Best of success and benefits :)
