The conviction can only be removed in Michigan. You need to contact an attorney in Michigan or use a local attorney to contact a Michigan attorney to petition the court to remove the conviction. Be prepared to prove to the court,by your subsequent actions(last 9 years) why they should do this. An attorney who specializies in this field will be your best bet. It ain't gonna be cheap, but you got 40+ yuears tomake up the money it costs you. good luck

I feel for you. I know a few guys that have felonies and NONE of them work for someone else, they all own their own businesses because they realize that they will be judged by their past when trying to apply for a job. One has his own barber shop and the other owns a record store. I would look into starting your own business or buying and selling real estate so you can be self sufficent and not depend on a company that is going to judge you for something that happened 9 years ago. Good luck!

after 7 years you can have your record expunged and sealed by the courts depending on the nature of the crime.
capital offences usualy aren't allowed to be sealed, speacialy if it involved a wepon such as a gun.
but most lawyers can handle this percidure and petition the courts on your behalf for a nominal fee.
usualy arounf 500 dollars and up. again depending upond the nature of the crime.
you can also go to a local law school and ask them to petition the court also.
paralegals, law students ect...
are able to usualy handle this task with ease.
good luck!

You can't get rid of it alone. See a lawyer asap. There may be ways of suppressing it since you were under 18 at the time.

it should have been dropped once you turned 18 but if not you can go to court if you haven't been in trouble since and have it dropped. In most states they will drop it if you have stayed out of trouble for that many years. I hope this has helped you out. Good luck.
