Monopoly.. it teaches you early how to manage money OR how you will manage money in the future. I always went bankrupt in the game and now, I can't manage money. Fun though. You can play for days if you're good.
BUT MY FAVORITE would be LIFE. The game of life. I loved it. Once I ended up having two cars full of kids.

Scrabble is my sought after game, yet i think of Mancala must be the superb boardgame ever. that's an historical game of concepts-set that has been modern-day in many cultures. that's uncomplicated to benefit, user-friendly to play, and a game strikes alongside rapidly and can be finished in a jiffy. that's suitable for each age - I play it with my grandkids. that's deceptively trouble-free, yet amazingly complicated. in case you do not have a game you may make one from an empty egg carton and 36 or 40 8 pebbles. try it and you will see why it has withstood the try of time.

It's got to be the mighty 'Trivial Pursuits' of course. And why is it that people in their mid 20s always rediscover boardgames?

Chess....
because
Chess is one of the world's most popular games; it has been described not only as a game but also as an art and a science. Chess is sometimes seen as an abstract war game; as a "mental martial art", and teaching chess has been advocated as a way of enhancing mental prowess. Chess is played both recreationally and competitively in clubs, tournaments, online, and by mail (correspondence chess). Many variants and relatives of chess are played throughout the world. Chess or shatranj has its origins in India. The most popular, in descending order by number of players, are xiangqi in China, shogi in Japan, janggi in Korea, and makruk in Thailand. The game described in this article is sometimes known as Western Chess or International Chess to distinguish it from other variants.
