i just rented the movie and it doesn't say why its rated pg-13. who has seen the movie and can tell me?

probably for language and adult situations. From what I remember there was no real violence, like people dying but Johnny Depp does freak out a few times.

Adult context. It deals with a romance between Ryder and Depp which in one scene is a question of did he attack her. There is also the whole thing of him having scissors for hand that makes screeners think that viewers should be more mature so that they don't try and emulate the character, running around with scissors in their hands and cutting up everything in sight. And finally, there is some question as the the conduct of some of the ladies in the film in their bullet bras going to Ed to get their hair cutand their lawns trimmed.

I,m just guessing, but when anyone dies in a movie they put that on it. watch the movie with mom & dad.

Its not a bad movie(no nudity maybe...a little violence..just a little) at all if thats what your worried about....its a little weird and sad...but thats about it. Its pretty good.

probably cause he cuts somebody .. on accident and the guy bleeds everywhere.
And the daughter was underessing and she didn't know ed was in her bed... but u dont see anything but a bra i think

i think it has to do with his "scissorhands" and that they might be dangerous if someone tried to have scissors as hands.
