I was going to try proactive but what stopped me was a friend had a very bad chemical reaction and her face was damaged really badly from proactive. I have had others tell me that it worked fine for them, for a little while, then their face went back to being broken out even though they were using it the same. Others I am sure have had great experiences with it. Either way, it is chemical based and even if it helps clear things up initially, it is very damaging to your skin in the long run.
The girls who had the bad reaction began using Alloette- it is all natural and really nourishing to your skin, not only does she not have breakouts anymore, her skin is absolutely radiant, gorgeous, just incredible. It is a little spendy but to some it is worth it. the effects are lasting too. Everyone I know that has used the Alloette basic line or the line that is an answer to proactive has seen incredible improvement and lasting results. Because it is all natural, unless you have a specific food or plant allergy, you are unlikely to have a reaction to the products.

It worked for me! My face looked just like some of those women you see on the infomercials---white heads, black heads, red heads, you name it, I had it. My face is radiant now! I have absolutely zero problems with my face now except for the occasional clogged pore here and there. I COMPLETELY recommend you try pro active! it changed my life! The key is to just keep using it! I didn't see results for the first 3 weeks but by the 4th week it really made a difference 3 months later I was clear!

I subscribed to Proactiv for 2+ years. I was really good about it in the beginning; washing my face twice a day, toning, moisturizing. But i found that it was a hassle and a seemingly waste of time. It DID NOT improve my complexion, or the tone. The texture was better. the overall feel of my skin was soft ~ soft with acne, but soft none the less. Every time i would get a new supply and i would say "im going to do better this time. it's going to be like my religion". and every time i would get more breakouts. i had problems with cystic acne. Proactiv seemed like it was trying to help, but all it was doing was antagonizing my poor face. i wasted HUNDREDS of dollars on this product. it certainly wasn't worth it to me.
I have great skin now, thanks to Bare Minerals, but that's another testimonial!

I sell Mary Kay and we have a product that is better and cheaper than Proactive. The Formula 3 cleanser ($10), Blemish Control Toner with acne medication ($11), and the Acne Treatment Gel ($7). My customers have told me that this group of treatments have worked better than Proactive for them and it was cheaper.

It's awesome stuff. You have to give it 6 weeks though. Some sooner, some longer. Most people say it didn't work for them because they expected it to work right away.

My son uses it but you have to stick to the regimen. You cannot use it one day and then skip it for two. When my son uses it the way he is supposed to it helps his face a lot.

My husband used it. It seemed to work, but the stuff you put on to leave overnight will bleach your sheets, pillowcases, lingerie....whatever your face contacts. I have purple sheets with big pink spots on them.
Plus it stinks.
