I mean, ever since he has been in office, sooo many countries have turned against us, they just see Bush and they think all Americans are like that and that we all agree with the war.
I just read a question posted by Doogie, and he writes, "Question to Americans: Do you all realize how much the U.K. dislikes you?"
Do you guys like the way the rest of the countries view us? I take offense to it. Why are they judinging us based on the actions of ONE man?

YES! More people hate us than ever before! Granted, there were a lot of countries that just never liked us, but now they flat out HATE us! I can't believe some of the things other countries say about us! I was just in Ocean City, MD last week, and some drunk guy (not sure where from, but he had a heavy accent), started screaming in my face about how ****** up Americans are and how we're no good and no one likes us, and all this other stuff! I was so upset but just ignored him because I wasn't about to start a fight with someone twice my size and drunk. But it's getting bad. So many people hate us and aren't afraid to yell it in our face. Bush just sits around in his big fancy house all day and doesn't experience any of it out here on the common streets. It's not fair.

But I guess that's what we get when so many Americans try to judge other countries by their leaders too. Like any typical Iraqi or Afghani person is automatically stereotyped because of Saddam Hussein and Osama Bin Laden even if they didn't like them either. I never did, but since so many other Americans did, we created our own stereotype then get mad when we fit it.

The world is such a sad place now. I can't believe what we're doing to ourselves and to each other..............

Actually, this is not a phenomenon confined merely to Bush's term in office. And it depends which part of the world you're dealing with. It's mainly a phenomenon dealing with the western half of Europe, and I think a lot of it has to do with jealousy. We are what they wish they were.

And, also, what actually really drives them nuts is the way Americans who go overseas behave there. Except for the diplomatic corps and their immediate families, most Americans seem to feel entitled to do what they want, when they want, because they're Americans. I've seen a few people do that. Interestingly, they tend to be from the Northeast & West Coast.

As for what goes on in the Middle East, I would note that their governments (with only a couple exceptions) intentionally direct the resentment their people feel towards those governments towards the U.S. as a distraction. Sure, I know a lot of people consider the Clinton days to be this kind of rosy time when we all held hands & sang "Kumbaya" and whatnot, but really, nothing's changed at all in the past thirty five years. It's just much more noticeable now thanks to global connectivity.

Ask yourself why you care what the rest of the world thinks of us. Are you so short in area of self confidence that you need acceptance from countries like france?

53,000,000 Americans agree with the war and that is more than disagree so take a back seat like the colonialist that didn't agree with the revolution and you'll reap the rewards that the patriots will bring us.
During the Revolutionary War 1/3 of the colonialists wanted to be free from the king. 1/3 wanted to stay under the kings crown and 1/3 didn't care... Where would the world be today if we listened to the 1/3 that wanted to stay under Englands rule. Would we be speaking German or Japanese in the colonies now? Would there be humanitarian aid sent in the BILLIONS to other countries who experience natural disasters? Would you be able to even ASK this question without being beheaded?

Bush stands for what he and 53,000,000 Americans think is right.... I think history will look back at us with pride.

Not at all: We the people of the United States are lucky to have such a great President to lead our country into prosperity and future peace. Below is a quote.

America is the greatest, freest and most decent society in existence. It is an oasis of goodness in a desert of cynicism and barbarism. This country, once an experiment unique in the world, is now the last best hope for the world.
-Dinesh D'Souza

The American lives even more for his goals, for the future, than the European. Life for him is always becoming, never being.
-Albert Einstein

This coming from Anal hottie?? haha

I agree though, it sux knowing everyone hates us because of one idiot that wouldn't even be a stand up citizen let alone the president. The way things are going here things aren't going to change either. Next will be Condeleeza, then probably Jeb or Laura. Until the Dem's find a way to counter all the mudslinging lying tactic's the rep party uses or the majority of the citizens either grow a brain a pay attention, we'll be stuck that way...

No I don't like the way other countries see us.....they are judging us based on Bush and his doings because WE, The voting American Public, voted Bush into office...and kept him there.

We voted the man into office not once, but twice, meaning we Americans, must really like what he stands for....

Edit-I just read what AZ wrote, with the first part of his answer we could have been twins :)
I didn't vote for Bush either....I had a feeling....

Cause almost 1/2 the country voted for him. We are a democracy so he represents us....and WE chose for it to be that way (well I didn't but the democratic process did and I will stand by democracy)
Plus his actions are the most visible in the world...they don't see the average, good-hearted American in other countries.
But the sooner Bush is gone the sooner our foreign relations will improve.

Those countries have been 'against' us for quite some time. It was just not plastered all over the media in the nineties. (we had a democrat for president then, you know)
Those who refuse to study history are destined to repeat it. Learn well about the rise of naziism and compare it to islamic fascism. You'll find it doesn't matter who the president is.
If you have an open mind, that is.

it doesn't matter who the president is, people won't like him. Bush is preferred by the leaders of other countries more than the people, and the people would hate america anyways. not just because of the president, but because of the citizens just as much, whether they are republicans or democrats. we're a cheap, cheesy, classless society, and the only thing we have going for us (that we still have some sense of decency) is as well looked down upon by many european countries.

Do i care if these weak neutered countries in Europe say they dont like us? If i was a European country I would HATE the US for doing our dirty work in the 20th century, the Europeans are jealous and ashamed of their weakness which is why they really envy the US. No matter how much they "hate us".....its Europe who watches our movies, buys our IPODS, listens to our music, wear our clothes....so its easy to see that this HATE europe has is a total smoke screen for their inadequecies for being so weak and soft......is it just a coincidence that many "straight" europeans look like total f**gots??? talk about *******!! they dont hate us at all, they just hate what they have become!
