Depends on your connection. Most dial up providers will give you a new IP each time you connect. Most broadband will "lease" you an IP for as long as your modem is connected. Few people actually power down thier broadband modems. Even if you do, the lease will likely stay current. Takes I think 24 hours for most leases to expire. Depends on how they have the DHCP set up at the ISP. So unless you unplug your modem and the ISP reassigns that IP you'll get the same IP back. Ever so often the lease might expire on the IP at the same time you unplug the modem. With Roadrunner I havn't seen it happen. Had same IP for years with them. Not sure how consistant other ISPs are.
Most ISPs will allow you to purchase a static IP for extra. Usually not necesary unless your running a comercial enterprise from your machine.

Unless you are assigned a static IP (external) address it changes all the time. How often is up to the administrator of the DHCP server. It could be every 10 minutes or annually. Average is probably 1 to 3 days.

If you are using a phone line to get on the internet then YES it is always different.
If you are using high speed then your IP address will stay the same assuming that you dont have a router with the settings set to dynamic IP addressing.

It deppends on you ISP (Internet service provider). But most of the time they doesn't. It's common that you IP changes every time you connect to the internet.
To have a Static IP (this really don't change), it's a little bit expensive.

Unless you have purchase a static IP, your IP may not stay the same. It does not necessarily mean it is going to change everytime; but what I am saying is, there is no guaranttee that your IP is going to stay the same.

It depends on where U'r getting your IP address from...if it's from a DHCP server, then it can/may change. U may also can have a static IP which will be constant every time....Static IP are normally used for servers.
Hope this helps...
