Me and my Girlfriend, are both 18 years old. We both plan to go to Manchester university this following september we have been together for 1 and a half years and i would support her completly if she was pregnant..

My Girlfriend is two and a half weeks late on her period, she is very worried.

She had been on the pill for over 8 months and then stopped taking it for personal reasons. that month she experienced a late period of about 11 days.

Since then (4-5 months) we have had no intercourse and little other sex together, we recently stayed ova in a hotel on a trip, we had oral sex, as far as we know we were very careful, but now she is late and we are both getting very anxious.

I hav looked at other websites, we had a rough patch this month and nearly split up and also hav exam results coming up so it could (i hope) be stress, she is reluctant to take a test however it is stressin her out with each day she isnt coming on. She today announced she has sore breasts, HELP!

Reasons for stopping taking the pill: she felt that it was making her moody and a person she didnt want to be, She was actually going to start taking it again two weeks ago,

Reasons for Rough Patch: Things were getting a little boring, we just finished school, starting part time work and not very much going on, we had obsessed our lives with each other instead of with our friends. We hav however, reaslized this and sorted it.

The Night in the Hotel, was oral sex not intercourse, we have always been very careful, condom and the pill at all times, however we were naked at the time. We were very careful

She is soooo worried right now, just dont think that she can take the stress anymore, i hav suggested a p.test but she said no. (i dont kno how you girls work somtimes)

I love my girlfriend very much,

Go buy a pregnancy test or take your girlfriend to the doctor or to free clinic for a pregnancy test.

Okay, do you want the lecture now or later. Not to sound mean, but first of all, you should be using condoms at the very least. Chances are more than likely that it is stress related and she is not pregnant, but putting off taking a pregnancy test, is not going to change if she is pregnant or not. You must know this, without me telling you. If you are intelligent enough to be going to university in Sept., you are intelligent enough to get through this. If she is not pregnant, you need to use birth control every time you have intercourse. If she is pregnant, then you have some other decisions to make; which a total stranger thousands of miles away cannot do for you. Sore breasts can occur monthly for women, so that may not indicate a pregnancy either. You are getting yourselves all upset, and it may be over nothing. Birth Control pills can wreck havoc on a womans' body, and I know many women who had a horrible time dealing with the side effects and the effects after going off of them. You are basically putting chemicals in your body to stop a natural body function, so things are bound to happen. I went through all this in a simular fashion with my daughter (stepdaugher) , although I consider her my daughter when she was barely 16. She was pregnant, and went through all the trauma of being pregnant at such a young age. We all helped, as best we could, and she is happily married now with another child and everything has worked out wonderfully. So I know that you and your girlfriend will take the test, get the results and proceed from there. Get as much emotional support as is needed from family and friends, and you will be fine. Good luck to you both and God bless you both!!!

well, you really could have only gotten her pregnant if your semen somehow got inside her...if that happend at all during the oral sex you guys were doing, then yeah, she could have gotten pregnant from it.
go buy a pregnancy test for her ASAP and have her take it. you should also have her consider getting a blood test done at a hospital or clinic, as they are more accurate.
she could also just be stressed out with all the college things going on and the relationship problems you guys are expiriencing, which is causing her period to be late. also, just quitting the birth control could also be why.
sore breasts are a symptom of pregnancy, but also that of an impending period. when you quit taking birth control, your period will have stronger symptoms than usual, even if you never expirienced them before.
the only best way to tell is to have her take a test.
bravo to you for supporting her if she is pregnant. you would make an excellent father. don't worry though, everything happens for a reason. :-)

she can't be pregnant if you haven't had sex...now, if you had a 'rough patch' does that mean you think she may have been unfaithful?

No sex = not pregnant, plain and simple so there should be nothing to worry about. Most likely she is still adjusting to not having the pill in her system or other life stresses. YES!!! She needs to take a test. Not because she may be pregnant but because $10 can put both your minds at ease and she can move on.

If you only had oral sex, I'd say you have no worries about pregnancy. But on the other hand, a late period like that still should be checked out. I'd say your girlfriend still should get some medical attention just to make sure her health is OK. And yes, I'm sure you've heard it, but it does work - if you do have sex, wear a condom. Take care & good luck!

Hi! I reckon it's better to see a doctor and/or do a blood test. Your period can be late for no reason (stress, anxiety) and sore sore breast can mean it's on it's way. Best wishes

your body can mimic pregnancy symptoms....But it doesn't mean your pregnant. Some women have sore breast during ovulation and having been on bthcontrol for a bit can mess up your cycle.Tell your gf that to reduce the stress in her life she needs to start with the p test. If she is she preggers she has options. It's wonderful your supportive. Way to be. If she isn't remember this well and continue to have fun but be safe every time. Good luck.

Go out and buy the home test any way it will help reduce the stress some. the reasons she stopped the pill? well you can think you have been safe and hello . Did you wear protection? if not well it takes two and just a few of your little helpers. with out the pill she became very highly susceptible to getting pregnant

it's all probably just stress... Sore breasts is also a a sign that she's getting her period soon. If she's only 2 1/2 weeks late she shouldn' t be feeling any soreness on her breast. If you haven't had no intercourse for the past few months, you guys shouldn't be worried about her being pregnant.

All it takes is one little sperm to make her pregnant. Yes stress could be a cause, but with other symptoms, tell her to take a pg test! Sounds like she is. She needs to get a pg test done then make an appointment with ob/gyn. Good luck, keep supporting her, it will be hard but you both can have a baby and still go to school, many parents do it. My best wishes to you both.
