You can't play DS games on a GBA, but you can play GBA games on a DS. The DS is backwards compatible.

First of all, it's Nintendo DS, and Game Boy Advanced SP (Or GBA SP).
And second, No. DS cartridges wont fit in GBA SP's But you can put a GBA game in a DS.

No, you cannot play Nintendo DS games on a Gameboy Advance SP. However, you CAN play Gameboy Advance games on a Nintendo DS.

its actually a nintendo ds and gameboy advance sp but i bet you are a parent asking for your kid. but the nintendo ds games are not compatible with the sp.
