and now I have the wax allover my hands and down there. I used nail polish remover for my hands and that worked but it stings too much down there. Any suggestions?

Freeze it. It will flake off.
Works on carpet. Whoops, you don't have any carpet left.

You're sposed to pull the wax and hair off so I guess you need to grab a corner of the wax, cringe and give a good yank

Take a long, hot bath? I would not use nail polish remover - too harsh for the skin.
