upkeep and maintenence of the country and infrastructure can be accomplished by other ways, as a basic example road tax could be abolished, road upkeep could be met by toll gates or electronic tagging charges. Or rubbish collection (the only noticeable council service i receive) by membership +fee to council services. Although police and fire are things needed to be paid for by tax i agree.

Who would pay for all the public services? Who would pay the extortionate wages that politicians earn for doing absolutely nothing? Who would pay for all the wasted schemes that the government changes every 6 months? What would make a better society is, if it was spent more wisely!

N.I Is meant ot contribute to sick pay should you have a lengthy absence from work (I believe)

And no it wouldnt be a better society. What would happen, the police would charge for every crime they solve. This would lead to 1. Charges against any tom dick and harry 2. police only protecting the wealthy because they can afford the protection 3. Police picking up on every minor infringement to get more pay 4. No guarentee of wage for the police so why would anybody become a police man?

NHS ok, that may not bee too much of a problem, because the system (appears to) works in america. But I think it may lead to people not being able to afford to life. This may put more strain on the courts because i am certain that in this compensation culture poor people would try a claim under article 2 (or maybe 3 not sure) of the European convention of Human Rights (right to life)

Fire brigade, same problems as the police really. Then what happens with education? only those who can afford it will get it. Tax-less society will create a greater divide between the rich and the poor. Without education how do poor people expect to become richer and create a better life for themselves (without going on these trashy tv shows like Big Brother)

No. The difference between the quality of life in states with higher taxes vs. lower taxes is incredible. A great part of today's ills is due to the fact that many low-tax states never put together an infrastructure to serve its people.

definitely of course. Tax is taxing.
mismanaged always and on many instances being pocketed by a few( so no sense right?) In some instances most of it just goes to paying national debt so as new debts can be incurred( because of status of good payer) and corruption recycles as national debt escalates. As for basic services there are alternative ways of funding it aside from tax, let me think OUT OF THE BOX: let us delegate feeding of the poor to religious anyway that is their mission, order the poor to plant many idle lands with vegetables and fruits and they even can raise animals for food--instead of dole out train them to fish( these are just some examples I can think on the fly....Abolishing tax is not only Utupia but very just. just an excuse to continue corruption while the poor are still marginalized.

Bad idea. Tax money is wasted but how else would you fund the upkeep of the country?

In respect of your quistion..A tax less would be
a good society, but too low the country won't run
properly.
But world government's tax the low earner too
much while the big earner wont suffer.

A tax-less society would depend on the rich being nice enough to help the rest of us. Somehow, I don't think that would happen voluntarily.

Tax free can't be done. Cut taxes drastically, Yes. Better yet, replace the tax code entirely.
