Also, it really is impossible to say which is my favorite (except actor; Depp rules!), because I like very different sorts of movies or music, depending on my mood. Do you consider multiple answers to polling questions like that to be a form of cheating? Why or why not?

well, i always add more than one choice to my "favorite" but at end of answer, i would reveal my one fave, so as to keep in sync of the original question..cat say if it is cheating or not..just go with instincts..

No, it's not cheating. It's your personal preference and what YOU like, so if you have more than one favorite...that is fine. You could also use an answer like: "I have many favorite movies, but the one I am loving at the moment is _____." But I think listing many favorites is fine, unless the asker specificially requests otherwise.

Who cares how many things you say are your favorite. If they ask what your favorite movie is they didn't say exactally what kind of movie. You can say as many as you like if they are all in separate categories in your mind.
