I would not recommend getting pregnant when you are a teenager..... I am a mother who had a child at 17 and if i could I would have done things differently. Not to say I regret having a child, but there is a lot that i missed out on. I am now known as the young girl who lives like a 40 year old. I have struggled for years financially, mentally due to the stress having a child brings to your life

How many babies would chose a teen parent?
Many teenagers want a child for all the wrong reasons. They only think of themselves and not the child. There are many things the child would not have emotionally and financially. It isn't fair to the poor baby who has no say so in the matter.
I married young and had my first born at 18. Like all teens I thought I was grown and knew everything. I am still happily married to his father but I feel guilty alot because we were in no way ready to provide for him. I often joke with him that I grew up with him. I was so immature and we had no security to offer him, so he had to do without alot of things. I wish I could go back and change it.. He deserved alot better!

Against it because they need to finish school and go to college. Chances are they will quit school and have minimum wage jobs. Worrying about money tends to put stress on a relationship and adding a baby to the mix would worsen matters. It's also hard to live with your parents and have a child because it's too easy to just leave the baby at home with grandma and the mom to go out and party. Parenting means responsibility and putting your child first. It would be awfully hard to put your child first when you're a teenager and only think of yourself.

I think that someone must be totaly ready before becoing a parent.Maturity is above all!and teenagers aren't mature enough to become a parent.Bringing a child in life ang raising it is a great responsibility and surtanly a child must have both of its parents.a teenager has all his/her life all the way long and must be a lot carefull with his/her moves. Also when a child comes all the life of the parens is that child, and nothing else.So i'm against to a teenager becoming a parent because he/she is not standing on his/her feet yet! It's too early.

I was a teenager who became a parent and If I had to do It again I would not have been sexualy active at such an early age.
I got divored also at an early age and I am 51years old now and regret that I and a wonderfull woman have both suffered such pain from this experiance and also a son .
I am saved and In Christ Jesus now and I speak about this subject and I am afraid for the youth In america today

I know the hardships and the hardships that I caused others,God forgive me

I don't think that most teenage parents are prepared for becoming parents. My brother became a parent at 17, and he and his girlfriend have no idea how to raise a child. They see the baby as a burden now, because they can't go out or do the things they used to do because of the cost of raising a child.

If you have ever listened to anyone before then do so know. I was sixteen and very much in love at the time, I had my whole life planned out. I was going to go to college to be a chemical engineer. But you see there was a small problem. I ended up getting pregnant. I was a senior in high school I had problems with the pregnancy so I was home study with a tutor so I was able to graduate. My daughter attended my graduation along with my husband. One year to the date of my graduation I was in divorce court. I didn't have a job or car. I was alone and no one to help me out of the situation I was in. I had to grow up real fast.
I worked three jobs just to provide a roof over our heads and food on the table. That went on until my daughter turned 18. My daughter now is 24 and she is going to college to be a doctor. I know have the time for myself, but at 40 it is not as fun as it would have been when I was younger. Live life to it fullest while your young. Once those years are gone you will wish you had them back.

XXXXXXXX lack of education, lack of experience, lack of finances, and the only job they can get pays minimun wage. Do you know it takes 3 hours of work for a teen to afford a pack of diapers and 4 hours for one can of formula. That's almost a full days work for only two items. Do you have any idea how many diapers a baby uses in a day? How much formula in a week? Can't be afforded on minimum wage. How can any teen finish school, work a fulltime job, afford diapers and childcare? Most don't. They drop out of school, get on Public Assistance, leave the kid with grandma or a sitter and the guy almost never sticks around. Or help pay child support. Believe me there are more against it than for it. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

no teenager can provide a secure life for a child unless they have the help of thier parents or are just super rich for some odd reason.....this is a growing epidemic and its leading to more people in poverty becuase they do not have the time to go to school and get a good job with a child around....

I waited till I was married for 7 years before having my first child (got married at 20) and I think the stress of having a baby is intense but some teens are mature enough to handle it, however kiss your care fee days good bye because they defiantly a thing of the past!
