These are the big burger places known to most San Antonians. Of course maybe you're talking about the new Fatburger.
I don't know which is considered the biggest

I don't know the name of the place you're looking for, but you really should try Chester's Hamburgers!! They have four locations. IH10@ Wurzbach, 281 @ Thousand Oaks, 410@ Broadway, Pat Booker off 35. They are awesome!!! I recommend a Bacon Cheese Burger, Chili Cheese Burger, and the wonderful Grilled Chicken Sandwich!! Try it!!!

this one's easy IF youlike big greasey hamburgers. Longhorn cafe. hamburgers, hot dogs(soso) chickenfried steaks. onion rings/french fries(half order please)
North side of SA. 1604 to Blanco; turn south; 1/3 mile on right.
never heard of foot wide burgers. there used to be a place called "big ed's" it started in Oklahoma City, then opened a spotin Houston. they had 5# 13" burgers-free if eaten in 45 min. but I think they are out of business

The place you are looking for is on mccullough down almost to ih35. it was called hipps bubble room for many years but now it is called armadillos. They have gigantic burgers for like 9 dollars. i have never ordered one but the regular sized burgers are pretty big too. and they have great nachos.
