In what way is death not a part of life? Life begins at birth, and was that in your hands.... I believe not. Then, should death be in you hands, especially when you have no idea when the most precipitous moment for its occurrence might be?
The main thing to do about death is to fully comprehend what it is. And, what it is, is a transition into the Astral realm, where one determines, with a bit of help, ones next life. Then one waits on the Astral plane for an opportunity on the earth plane for two people Karmically indebted to one sufficiently to warrant one a birth, and one is then ready to reincarnate. And, that will also end in death, and so on.

Maddy is right, you do die death - *a* death, to be precise. Example: "Slavery died a slow death."
