I can't dance but I promised my boy friend that i would go to the dance with him- how am i going to get through it!!!!!!!!??????????????

everyone can dance if they just listen to the music. Try to find the beat. Once you find that, start moving back and forth. left, right, left, right, etc. and then, add in your arms, move your hips and shoulders, and just make your own style. there is no exactly correct way to dance. plus, girls can get away with dancing like anything. practice by standing in front of a mirror with the music on. it may feel strange at first, but just give it time, and you'll be great. for the slow songs, he will lead. just keep your feet away from his because it hurts when they step on your feet. good luck! ~

LOL. Other people have covered the best things to do when you have to fake it, but the best thing to do is wait for that song that makes you start tapping your foot, or move back and forth while you're still sitting. Then you get up with him and just move your hips and shoulders. Don't get fancy until you're more comfortable. If it's a formal dance where you have to move your feet, remember the box step. For you, left foot goes back...then step to the right, right foot goes forward, step to the left and repeat. Sounds ridiculous when you type it out, but when you get out on the floor, its easy! dancin' ain't hard. just move left to right wit da beat. or just pushin' ur self as close as u can on his thing he won't want to dance then. or at least not da kinda dancin' everyone else is doin'.
