it will not support FEAR

make sure whatever video card you buy meets your system specs.
it mainly depends on your power supply. most store bought pcs have a 300w or lower power supply. so watch what you buy or you could toast the power supply or worse, your whole pc.

look up your pc for recommended hardware upgrades from the manufacturers website, that will give you the info as to what type of video card you can get. ie: AGP or PCI or PCI-Express

i suggest http://www.newegg.com or http://tigerdirect.com for buying any pc upgrades.

Also i suggest an Nvidia 6000 series video card.
i use a PNY Nvidia 6600 plays fear on medium/high settings.
and i have a 300w power supply.

Good luck!

ati radeon xpress 200 is an IGP (integrated graphics processor) and it uses shared memory with your system memory. also the wrong choice for a gamer.

if you're a gamer you ALWAYS want a 3rd party graphics card. depending on how much you want to pay...nvidia 7600gs and higher should do well or in ati terms, an ati x1600pro and higher.

and no the amount of onboard memory of the video card does not increase performance by any amount contary to popular belief. NOT ALL 256mb cards will be able to run the same games at the same settings. MEMORY DOES NOT MATTER, IT IS ALL IN THE VIDEO PROCESSOR ITSELF.

If you only have PCI slots you may be able to find an nVidia FX5200 or ATi 9200.

If you have an AGP slot you should try an nVIdia 6800GS or 7800GS or ATi X800/850 series card.

If you have a PCIe slot you should get an nVidia 7600GS/GT or 7900GT card or ATi X1600/1800 card.

And there is no way a 6600 series card can play FEAR on medium/high settings. It just can't be done. You might get it to medium at 640x480 but that doesn't mean anything.

in spite of all this you probably did not tutor the ram of the video card. some thing that would want to wish to play those form of video games is possibly a 128 mb ddr ram video card, i imagine. ATI and NVIDIA make the perfect video playing cards. yet what are you asking fairly?

is your card PCI-E? Also what kind of memory does it have. 256 PCI-E card should suffice
