The Dems are trying very hard to unite themselves, whereas the GOP has been trying to either moderate their views, become closer to what the Republican Party was REALLY supposed to be about, or otherwise disassociate themselves with Pres. Bush. So, I'd have to say the Republican party is, as of this moment, more fragmented.

Neither one...both parties are just as popular as they ever have been in history.

The TRUTH is that the moderates are the most fragmented. We lean right on some issues and left on others simply by allowing spin by biased sources to meld our thoughts. Moderates are fragmented by their INACTION.


How many independents voted to go to war in Iraq, how many voted for the patriot act without reading it? etc.....Wow they are already ahead in the public opinion polls.
