I hate rap! Any and all kinds! What ever happened to people who can just get up on stage and sing? Rap is taking over. I guess I will find myself continuously listening to golden oldies. Much much better than todays music.

rap has to be one of the worst things that has happened to the music industry..... there is nothing special or "good" about people talking while music is playing in the background..

It's okay to voice your opinion about something you like or dislike, but I don't think that rap is "taking over." Some (not all) rappers are rapping for cash/entertainment instead of selling drugs or living the "illegal" lifestyle that they're used too.
Not all rap is "bad." There are some "conscious" rappers that raise awareness to the different ism's in this world. Please don't be close minded or simple minded because there's no way that you've ever heard all types of rap, let alone know the history of it.
Also, rap is "real" music. It is a form of poetry, that includes beats. How many of you can freestyle? Not too many. It is a form of writting and expression. Please educate yourselves before making a fool out of yourself.

I dont hate rap, I like it. But I also like rock and country. You should be open to all kinds of music to fully enjoy it. I mean, it would be boring if there was only one kind of music. And older generations tend to disapprove of the new music. Remember when people disapproved of Elvis? He became a classic. And rap does take talent. If it doesnt take any talent then lets see you go make a hit rap song.

I hate Rap more than words can ever express. It has killed the need to be talented. There is no pure and creative artist involved in rap.But im a classic rock kinda gal.However if i had a child, and they wanted to listen to rap i would let them only after they had expierenced other types of music. then they are free to choose for themselves. afterall my mother had to put up with my fanatic obsession for KISS in the 70s and she never once said they were the devil(as many parents did in those days)

Anything is better than the stuff that passes for music these days. Rap is crap. Not to mention that the lyrics are foul and disgusting. If I had a kid and he/she was listening to that stuff I'd ground them for a month and make them listen to real music the entire time.

I like today's music, but not rap. I like Greenday, Fallout Boy, Sum 41, Blink 182 etc. But I hate rap

With each generation there is a generation of music that people that do not like. Each generation has a groundbreaking type of music. It used to be rock n roll. People disapproved of Elvis. Nowadays it's rap.

i hate rap.. it's not even singing. like whati listen to. sure there are a couple of good songs that are rap. but i rap is in crap.. i perferre to listen to hard rock, metal, rock, classic rock, heavy metal, and that kind of stuff
