I live in Houston, and I swear I saw it yesterday. It still had all the hardware on the back, and a console full of electronics on the inside. I tried to take a picture on my phone, but I could not get it. If this was not the original, it was an incredibly close copy.

There were five deloreons used in the movie. They are all still the property of Universal pictures.
All deloreons look alike and yes there oare deloreons in Houston. I have seen a couple myself.
You can even buy them on line if you try. Somebody bought the existing stack and sells them out of a warehouse. It was on television not too long ago. They go for about 45,000 on up.

Last time I saw it, they had it at Universalo Studios Hollywood. That was just last year so I doubt it was in Houston, but possible. Also they did sell more than one of this model car, so maybe someone just hooked theirs up to look like the BTF car.

Delorian, Not sure of the spelling-- gosh, do you bring back memories. yeah, Paul Delorian was the automotive genius of his time. Designed a posh (or phat) stainless steal car. That's why they are silver. Yeah, he and his company went into the toilet when he was caught with a carload (kitchen cabinet full, actually)of cocaine. Smart people with everything can be idiots as well as anyone.
