If I had a kid your age I would definitely say no, tanning beds cause skin cancer and being a parent means protecting your children. But then again you'll probably do it anyways. My mom told me no and I still went. Now that my aunt has died of skin cancer (she would only go tanning 2 times a month) I know that my mom was only trying to protect me. Now I never go tanning and I always where SPF 45. I spend a lot of time in the sun so I still get a slight tan. Besides if you go tanning you'll look like you have football skin by the time you're 30.

Darling, tanning beds are a bad idea for people of any age. Trust me in you like being tan that much, just satisfy yourself that you will pay enough at 50 trying to beat skin cancer and have it removed. You will grow old, brown and rinkled, your skin will look more reptilian every year as you maintain your tan. You don't need to start paying for it now. (Of course I try to convince my wife of this as well, and she doesn't listen either.)

Your mother is right, and your question implies that you want to make it a style of life once you are old enough, you will damage your skin and expose yourself to cancer, find another way to look good!

tanning beds are bad for your skin, so i would say dont do it, research the effects of it on the interenet, once you learn about the risks, i dont think it will be a issue for you anymore

get a spray tan (but make sure its high quality or else you'll be kicking yourself in the head)

its healthy, and i'd say MORE effective.

Ewwwww no don't go to one. I don't get it when people want to go to tanning beds or sunbathe and get sunburnt...I'm trying to lose my tan, and you probably look better without one.

no, starting sun damage at such at early age (or any age) is not smart, and puts you at a higher risk for skin cancer, try an airbrush tan.

what ever you feel comfortable with but taning beds can be dangerous and they can make you a whole different color then you first wanted
