Try Estee Lauder's Individualist Natural Finish Makeup, it's $40 but they match it to your skin tone. I use it because I have a light complexion that doesn't fit your average Revlon makeup.

Buy two or more foundations that are pretty close. For instance, one that is a little too dark and olive, one that is a little too pale and blue, and perhaps one that is the right shade but different tone (too reddish/yellowish).
Then what you should do is empty out an old foundation bottle (preferably bigger than the new ones). Clean it out and dry it. Then sit down and start pouring in different amounts of your new foundations. Start with the one that is closest to your skin color. Determine what is wrong with that shade (apply it to the skin on the back of your wrist and the front of your wrist - that will show both the color of your cheeks and the color of your softer areas, like eyelids and undereyes). Once you can determine what is wrong with that shade (it is too dark, too yellow), use one of the other foundations that counteracts that problem (it is too pale, too blue). Add a little bit. Shake up the foundation bottle, and try it again on your wrist. Continue adding very little amounts of the different foundations until you can find one that is close enough. Measure on your original bottles how much you used of each so that if you need to remake it, you know roughly how much in comparison to the others to use.

You do not have to buy two kinds. Just go and really look at make up. They have millions of light and dark shades. I am African American/black and I have very light skin and I have never had a problem finding foundation or make up to match my complexion. You can use the Color stay or the make up from Loreal it is really good. Just experiment and open the containers and test it out. You will find something, I guarantee it.

Foundation must be just the right shade to look awesome. Go sit down in a chair at a beauty counter and get a free consultation. If your mixed you should look for a foundation with a yellow undertone; buy colours like sandy beige, tan, saffron,,,,. Stay away from pink under tones.....Remember to try the colour on your jaw line never on your hand....this will help you select the best colour...buy where you can try the colour on first....Good luck and remember to experiment and have fun looking glam.

Origins custom mixes foundation to get the perfect match. I can never find a foundation either, trust me, it's not just from being a mix ;) The only one I can use that matches is by Origins ...because they made it for me. Origins is at a lot of department stores, so you'll have easy access to it. Good luck, beautiful!

I'm mixed too, so I feel your pain. Loreal True Match is the only one I've been able to find. I use the shade 'cappuccino', but yours might be different.
If you want really light coverage, Covergirl makes a tinted moisturizer that really evens out your skin tone and has SPF 15. Shade: Medium to Dark.
Hope this helps!

girl i have the same problem. you can go to the nearest mac cosmetics and ask an artist about it. Or just get two different colors like the ones that are closest to your skin like a lighter and a darker color and mix it and helps me. Also know that using a pink base and a gold base can help difine it.

Go to the MAC Counter, we have tons of makeup for mixed people too. From C3-C6 for the Olive complexions to Face and body that has N2-N8. There are tons of choices. you can also go to macpro.com and check out the foundations that are not sold in all stores, they are for pro artists.

I highly recommend Precriptives - they custom-blend a lot of their products so you should not have a problem getting the right shade. MAC and Bobbi Brown have a pretty good range of foundations, and I believe they're yellow-toned.
